Last night Man Man played Goucher College. I have never seen anything like it occur at my school. SO much dancing and sweating and yelling and clapping. the power went out twice, but drum circles an saxophones made interludes bearable and kept the intensity going. PLUS, tons of pretty girls and tight jean'd boys with bandanas and sunglasses infiltrated the goucher bubble, which was really neat. and awkward. i had a good time, i'm pretty sure everyone did. good way to say...

HEY! FUCK! IT'S THE FUCKING LAST WEEK OF CLASSES! I'VE FINISHED ALL MY FUCKING WORK! LET'S FUCKING DANCE!

yeah.

so. last night was the last episode of KSR for the semester. next monday i will probably be off dancing with pretty girls and tight jean'd boys with bandanas and sunglasses. i need at least one go-crazy-and-party-and-dance before the end of a semester that pushed me off the side of a cliff.

but really. i accomplished a lot this semester and am quite proud of my work. however, i'm ready to end this chapter and move out...

...to an apartment a few miles away in the city for the summer. lots of kickball, bike rides, and brunches.

USGS Earthquake Map

Around 1:30pm, Fairfax County Police report lots of calls about a loud boom and shaking. Arlington County Fire also received calls from people saying their buildings were shaken.

At first, the U.S. Geological Survey said they had not registered any earthquakes in our area. But in a follow up call from Fox 5 the USGS now says they do believe it was an earthquake. They are calling it a 1.8 magnitude on the USGS website. Here are more details and a Google map of the location.
