i REALLY like the bruises. KSR #2 for FA/08

This weekend was endurance weekend. On Saturday I went kayaking in Pennsylvania, and on Sunday I had my first cyclocross race at Charm City. Both were SO MUCH FUN, but I'm ready to take a bit of a rest this week. Also, my lower body looks like someone took a sock of quarters to it. Whatever. It rules. Photos not as good as real life are up on my flickr. You can also go to the Proteus Cyclocross blog and read all about our team experiences. I posted a little post-race blurb as well. But in short: I finished. I placed. I wasn't last. I didn't throw up. I had a really bad crash in the first lap that everyone heard about. aaaaand I love cyclocross.

The studio was packed again last night. Saaj, Ari, and Dan all stopped by and Amanda, Emily, Bridgette, Cait and Julian held it down with me in the studio and sang some Rick Springfield. We also got a call from the spectacular RICH SIMON, Goucher Radio's former Director of Programming and who's pretty much responsible for making Goucher Radio what it is today.

I really need to manage my activities this semester and make sure I don't overload. Oh wait, I already did. Wompwomp.

Obviously I still do Goucher Radio. I stepped down from President of Gophers for Choice, the Reproductive Rights/Sexual Health organization I started on campus to dedicate my time to the Sexual Assault Awareness & Prevention Initiative myself and a team of faculty/staff/students head. I'm also VP of the Bike Club, on the board for the Student Health Advisory Committee, and a member of Goucher's Suicide Awareness Project. And work part-time. Taking 16 credits and auditing the Environmental Economics class. Oh, and did I mention I'm supposed to leave for Costa Rica in less than four months? No? Well, I'M MOVING TO COSTA RICA FOR THE FIRST HALF OF 2009 to study global-local challenges of social and environmental sustainability.
